The Interreg MED Programme is pleased to inform you that the first call for modular projects of the programming period 2014-2020 is now open toprogramme priority axes 1, 2 and 3 and to the following types of projects: Studying (M1), Testing (M2), Capitalising (M3), Studying and testing (M1+2) and Testing and capitalising (M2+3).

For a detailed description of contents of programme specific objectives and types of projects, including information on possible actions, beneficiaries and target groups, please refer to section 2 of the Interreg MED Cooperation Programme adopted by the European Commission on June 2nd, 2015 and to the relevant Terms of Reference. Under this call a project proposal must focus on only one programme specific objective.

The indicative ERDF allocation for this call is 75M€(25M€ for each priority axis). The final allocation is subject to further decisions of the Interreg MED Programme Monitoring Committee.

The indicative IPA allocation for this call is 3M€ (1M€ for each priority axis). The final allocation is subject to further decisions of the Interreg MED Programme Monitoring Committee. The availability of IPA funds is also subject to the signature of the Financing Agreement between the Interreg MED Programme Managing Authority, the European Commission and each one of the concerned IPA countries.

Proposals must be submitted electronically using the on-line monitoring tool of the Interreg MED Programme, SYNERGIE CTE. The system will be open from September 1st, 2015 at noon – 12.00 (GMT +1). Please read very carefully the sections 2.2 and 3.1.1 of the Programme Manual to find out about all technical details of the submission. The non-respect of the procedure will entail the non-eligibility of your proposal.

• The Application Form has to be validated on SYNERGIE CTE by November 2nd, 2015 at noon – 12.00 (GMT +1).
• The uploading of the compulsory annexes to SYNERGIE CTE has to be completed by November 9th, 2015 at noon – 12.00 (GMT +1).

In order to organize the reception and the treatment of the proposals, the Interreg MED Programme Joint Secretariat needs to anticipate as much as possible the number of proposals that will be received. Applicants are invited to create a login for the drafting of proposals during the month of September. The creation of logins after that date will be still possible.

According to the provisional calendar established for the call, the approval of the projects is foreseen in June 2016. Applicants are invited to establish as starting date for their projects September 1st, 2016.

In order to draft your proposals, it is imperative to study carefully all Programme documents, including the Cooperation Programme and the Programme Manual, as well as the specificities of the call, including the Terms of Reference, the declarations to be signed by partners and the courtesy application form template. You are also warmly invited to study the specific SYNERGIE CTE guide (section 3.2 of the Programme Manual) to facilitate the drafting of your proposal in the monitoring tool.
